In 2010, commemorating their 55th anniversary and continued dedication to crafting premium, traditionally hand-sewn footwear, Eastland introduced the men’s and women’s Eastland 1955 Edition® Collection of updated, iconic styles from their design archive. Using time-honored shoemaking principles, each heritage style is handcrafted using a genuine true-moccasin construction. The leather wraps all the way round the foot, creating a customized comfort fit that only gets better with time. Created with the finest components available—rich, premium leathers; true leather welts; rawhide laces; and durable Vibram, crepe, and natural rubber soles—each shoe is made with time-consuming care and attention to detail by skilled shoemakers. These authentic retro revivals, hallmarks of Eastland’s Maine roots, are built for the rugged New England terrain and urban landscape alike.
